The camera is fine and takes great shots in all conditions. I was particulaly impressed with the video mode. For a still camera this takes great HD video. The down side is if you are considering lens attachments don’t waste your money.
1: you need an adapter to attach the lens to the camera this you have to buy seperate from the lens as it does not come with one.
2: the Kodak Telephoto lens is only a slight improvement on the 12 x zoom.
3: The Kodak wide angle lens is a waste of space you can take better shots without it.
This Camera is not built to have lens’s attached because of the adapter and the tunnel vision it creates so don’t waste your money.

I am not pleased!
I ordered a camera six days ago and expected it to come now. It was cancelled today! Why so late? I wanted it for an important event. What horrible service. Don’t order this camera they don’t have it!!

First off, I should say this is not a review of this particular camera as I did not get to use it, but from my experience with Kodak, I wouldn’t buy anything carrying this brand.
I purchased this from one of the Amazon marketplace vendors. When I received it I noticed that the LCD on the camera is defective, it had a black line across it. I called Kodak customer service and after holding for some time and explaining the problem to the representative, he gave me a return authorization number and an address for me to mail the camera to. I was told that they would try to fix the camera if not they will send me a “refurbished” camera instead. When I asked them why I should pay the full price for a “refurbished” camera, I was told about the conditions of the “Limited Warranty”. I returned the camera to the retailer and got full refund, not to look back again at anything Kodak.

If anyone has bought this camera and can help me, I’ll be grateful. I purchased it because the other reviews said it was easy to use. But the instruction booklet is so poor I’m at a loss. I couldn’t even set the date because the screen instructions were so unclear. I have figured out how to take a photo, review it and delete. But I have many questions. For instance, after I review and delete photo, the camera does not go back to operational mode. Rather I have to turn it off and on again. Also, when it works on flash and I am done using it, am I supposed to press down the pop-up battery light? And is there anything on the screen that tells me how much of the optical zoom I’m using, or should I just assume that the close-up function will stop when I reach maximum? The instruction booklet doesn’t explain what all the symbols are that I seen on the LCD screen. The camera makes a noise when running. I’m not even sure when I’ve taken a photograph because it doesn’t really click. How do I use image stabilization — or does it just go into action when the camera shakes? I’m afraid to try the video function because I have no way of knowing how much of a 2GB card I’d be using up with video. Is there any way to know? Kodak’s website merely repeats the meager information in the instruction booklet. I won’t be using it with Easyshare because that was never my intention. I haven’t yet tried to download the images using a card reader. I bought it because it has the best optical viewer for simple digital cameras. This would probably be a good camera if I could figure out how to use it.
